Organizer guide
Before you announce the winners
6 things to verify first
Freeze the submitted commit
Record the exact commit at the submission deadline so everyone reviews the same version. Later changes should be clearly identified.
Confirm required sponsor technology is actually used
Trace where the required technology runs in the project. A dependency or logo alone does not show that it supports a working feature.
Tie the live deployment to submitted code
Ask for a build or commit reference connecting the live app to the submitted repository. This helps establish that the demo represents the work being judged.
Require evidence for headline metrics
Ask for the data, method, and conditions behind claims about speed, accuracy, or impact. Judges need to know what was measured and what was estimated.
Separate demo claims from working implementation
Check which demonstrated features work in the submitted build and which are mocked, staged, or planned. This gives judges a clear picture of what was actually built.
Record unresolved questions before awards
Write down what remains unclear and what evidence would resolve it. Give judges those questions before they make the award decision.
